Sage Mountainflower (Ohkay Owingeh, Taos Pueblo, Diné) is an Indigenous couture designer, beadwork artist, and owner of the Sage Mountainflower House of Fashion in Ohkay Owingeh, New Mexico. Her work blends ancestral Pueblo traditions with contemporary fashion, creating collections rooted in storytelling, land, and cultural identity.
Her designs have been featured at Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks, SWAIA Native Fashion Week, and in Native Max Magazine. Sage’s acclaimed “Indigo Threads” collection transforms upcycled denim into couture inspired by the mesas and landscapes of the Southwest, with pieces currently exhibited at the Florence Hawley Ellis Museum through 2027.
An award-winning artist, Sage has received honors at the Heard Indian Fair & Market and SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market. In addition to her design work, she produces fashion showcases that uplift Indigenous artists and amplify Native voices in contemporary fashion.
